Default Intake manifold port plug

1998 - 2000 LS400 ACIS intake manifold employs a rubber plug to block unused port... Rubber plug on left is rock hard and am able to easily move it...probably not doing a very good sealing job
. so elected to replace it.. $2

P.N. 90339-03005

Old cap on left

Old part on left with enlarged hole. P.N. is visible, but none on new part....

It was a time consideration...

However, you may go through a whole box of aftermarket plugs in 20 years..

And why? Is it a high wear item? Gets lots of wear pulling it on and off everyday or what? I haven't yet in 5 years had to worry about the after market ones I have bought.
They may go 20 years, for the small amount paid for them I can surely afford to replace one every 5 or 10 years. So how much was that nice cap? $5. ?????

For the price, you could put a fresh one on every 2 years since they seem to go for $0.30/each in bulk here...
