Default Wrinkle On Leather Door Arm Rest

I just noticed the drivers door is starting to develop wrinkle on the leather. Is this normal? Does it qualify for warranty repair? My IS has similar miles and does not have this issue. This is a 2016 RX350.

I imagine that it’s under the warranty as listed by the manufacturer, but it all depends on where and if it seems to be done by something other than normal wear and tear. I’ll be able to have a better idea as to whether or not it’s under warranty when I get to see the picture – thanks for starting the thread, though, so that we can start thinking about the topic!

Don't know what to think, is that happening because the leather is drying out? Defect?

lexus replaced my entire drivers leather seat because of a 2mm flaw in my seat under warranty. i don't have to tell you how much a RCF leather seat is.

i would at least try and tell them. it's technically a defective item if you are low miles or under warranty . you would have a better chance if your entire car looked new inside and out beside that armrest. Good luck.

Here's a very similar thread from the GS forum:

Should give some good insight on what to expect.
