Default Who painted their REAR calipers?

I painted my front calipers a few weeks ago with Dupli-color caliper paint(red) and they came out great. I'm planning to do the rears this weekend. I'm curious if others that did the rears included the mounting bracket as well? The main caliper body looks very simple to do but, the caliper bracket looks like it would be a pain to do but, it is as visible as the caliper itself. Those that painted the rear caliper and/or bracket, I'd love to see some pictures.

Thanks - Todd

Some good pics here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ictures-2.html

Depending on the type of caliper paint you are using (spray vs. brush-on), you can't avoid painting the bracket as well. It will be easier to paint the bracket if you use a brush-on type such as the G2 system. If you go the route of a spray-on liike VHT, you'll have to use newspaper/plastic to ensure you don't get paint on the rotors or other components.

These are the only close up shots of the rear I have:

Thanks for the pictures and the link. Looks like I'm doing the brackets as well...

If you are going to paint the rears, you might want to order the little metal plates to cover the exposed brake pads. It took about five minutes of modifying, but I think it looks better than not having it.

DallasDave - How do the plates attach? I think I read earlier they are Acura covers but, didn't catch how people are securing them.

After 2 days of drying time, it is finally done. The rears made the fronts seem easy...

@Todd Edge Looks good - any plans to put the "F-Sport" or "Lexus" decal stickers on the calipers?

Yep, they are Acura plates and require a slight modification. I used high-temp silicone to attach them. It's been many months and no problems. And yes, I run it through the car wash regularly.

Got mine off eBay. Quite a few sellers on eBay with vinyl/high temp stickers for the calipers:

"Lexus": https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexus-Brake...r/282456342146
"F Sport": https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-pc-set-Le...E/361479584010

Yes - I added them to the front calipers since they had plenty of surface space to affix the decals. Without adding the Acura faceplate, the add'l decals I got from eBay would not fit on the rear calipers.
