I've already done an is swap, but at that time I wasnt sure if it was going to work so i purchased a used wheel. Well now the leather is starting to show wear, so its time for an upgraded this is what I've been looking at

Dude these steering wheels look awesome!

More details please. Can I perform a swap on a 2006 GS?

I would go with any of the flat bottom designs. But how would you get your hands on one of these babies? Savage yards? Knock-off Chinese models? And how would it affect the existing airbag mechanics? What are the costs involved? I’m very interested in this mod.

btw, I noticed you have that Tesla style unit too....

saw that one huh? 😉😎
If I recall, I paid about 150$ for the wheel 175$ for the airbag and 35$ to get the correct buttons. All parts used from EBay. I was trying to keep cost down as much as possible since I wasn entirely sure it would work. Then I did all the wiring and install myself.

damn, that’s awesome dude. Wish I had the mechanical expertise to perform those mods. My tech would probably be afraid to attempt those hacks. Btw, I like the wheel you’re leaning towards but that F sport wheel is killer. Problem is, if you choose the F wheel you’ll be accused of being a poser

Paddles do work. There's a thread in the DIY section of how I did it.

Do you think the paddles would work with the 8 speed on a 460? I’m interested in doing this swap if they do.

I dont see any reason it wouldn't work , as long as the transmission can be put into a manual mode via the gearshift. I'll try to post a link
