We only order/stock stainless headers, not mild steel. I will say they are really well made, very impressed with the quality of the headers we have received since becoming a PPE dealer.

I don't think you have to re-locate the dipstick on either one. PPE re-designed the passenger header some time ago that allows you to re-use the factory dipstick tube location.

The third version, as you say is constructed of 304 SS. This version is sold either with no coating or ceramic coated (polished or black). AND the mild steel version is still available, with only ceramic coating, as a lessor cost option.
And it appears that RRRacing is only ordering the SS version.

That is true Lou... we are only ordering the SS version. Reason is that we feel that titanium heat wrap is more effective at insulating the headers compared to the ceramic coating. We also recommend wrapping the starter with heat insulation during the header install. This is good insurance against having a starter failure down the road due to over-heating it.

Just want to expand on the whole heat wrap vs "ceramic coating." Most of the ceramic coatings you find on headers do very, very little in the way of insulating. They are mosting cosmetic, and are sprayed on and baked. They are not true "thermal barrier coatings" which are typically plasma sprayed (or via high temperature vapor deposition which is very effective at coating internal passages), and are quite thick.

Titanium heat wrap is easy to work with, is very durable, and is a much more effective barrier to heat:

PPE Headers worth the wait? Oh yes....indeed they are.

They're so pretty I'm having second thoughts about installing them and instead just making them into a display for my home office.

great wrap and headers guys!

RSXimus, please dyno your car when that header is installed at Churchs! Shawn knows what hes doing and I want to see how much the tune adds so I can cop asap we will have the same catted setups too! He can show you/printout the other dynos as comparisons as well..

Full catless intake/header/exhaust isf dyno 440-445whp here so I'm dying to see what that tune could unleash, the mod bugs are biting me every night and I want more power lol!

From what I read on Honda-tech from my Acura days, Church automotive dyno reads high hp compared to others.

I agree with Rafi here. I'm a PPE dealer as well (Nissan 370Z) and the SS headers they build for the Z are second to none when it comes to quality! Every time I get a set in for a customer they're extremely impressed with the quality and the welds!

PPE produces a beautiful product!

Hey ISF2NV, it's true Church's reads roughly 8-10% higher than other dynos, but we aren't dynoing our cars for bragging rights moreover for results on which mods make more power and as a measuring tool per say.

I/h/e isf made 444whp there

my I/h/e with high flow cats made 430 which sounds about right

RSX will soon (hopefully) dyno his car with I/h/e with high flow cats and tune to see how much more the tune adds.
