Replacing Door Speakers
I am putting a system into my 2003 gs300 in a couple of weeks after I dynamat the interior. I am wondering about the door speakers. With an aftermarket system are the door speakers worth replacing. The speakers are 13 years old and Im going to be pushing a lot of power into them. Should I just look for other 4" speakers and replace the stock ones? Is there anything special I should know before doing so?

You should definitely go aftermarket. Don't be one of those folks who are running all bass with no voice.
No adapter is really necessary for our doors. I actually cut the area surrounding the OEM speakers and installed 4 18 Sound (6ND410 6.5) midrange speakers in my GS.
