RC 200t (Owner Review)
Hello, id like to give my little review of the Lexus RC 200t, for anyone trying to obtain some information about it. Ive had it for 4k miles so Ive lived with it for a little while now. First it feels great driving off with the weight distribution of [42:58] and the light nose really makes it nimble to drive through windy turns , something the rc350'ers don't get to experience. The engine is smooth and when you accelerate normally like every day street driving your pretty much doing 1500 rpm's the whole time because of the 8 gears, which is lovely. id recommend getting the sport package or unless your old woman, with style i might add, you get the non sport trim and add the luxury package lol. for the enthusiasts, yes this car merges great on to the highway. Let me tell my last car was a 2012 v6 camaro 312hp and barely can tell the difference in the two motors , i only tell the difference between from launching from still, but they both feel the same to me from like a 30 mph pull. the lexus shines when your merging on the highway and you do a 40-80 mph pull , thats where the turbo kicks in and its no different feeling than a v6 engine, granted faster than the 250 engine because of more torque &hp.
and also on the highway i get 33-36mpg going cruise control at 70 , 40 mpg if you go 50mph and use cruise control.
did a 0-60 test with my car and go it to 60mph in 6.2 seconds a full second faster advertised than lexus making their numbers conservative, yes i brake torqued it, yes the wheels chirp when you launch , yes your only about a second slower than 350, with a much better weight distribution too. Its no wonder why lexus chose the 2.0t and the v8 versions to go on the 24 hours of nurburgring contest
also i do notice a difference with gas quality used and i don't know how to feel about that, there is a sold difference in feeling from shell gas and racetrac gas so id recommend you always get the best gas quality you can , which is really my only complaint about the car. if you wanted performance you logically should get the v8, the v6 is like this weird purgatory of performance and economy and a 10 year old engine and gives the car unfavorable weight distribution imo... , also i saved a lot of money buying the rc200t for just about as equal performance around only 44k out the door. i saved about 7k by going the turbo route.

lool yea could be a divorce gift, who's to judge we all make mistakes. its funny my first job was working at a late night bar as a barback, i got the harsh reality of women quickly at a young age, day after day it was men who told me they got divorced, lose a mil or two here or there, the house, kids, car , you name it. the world keeps spinning.

I never tried doing a 0-60 in my 200T. I'm getting an exhaust made so we'll see how that helps HP/TQ!

I hate to burst your bubble but the RC200t does not have a weight distribution of 42:58 front/rear (compared to the rc350 with a 54:46 layout). The specs were a typo from Lexus. Your car is probably a 52:48 setup.
A 42:58 weight distribution is typically found on an extreme mid-engine layout. To put things in perspective, a Porsche Cayman has a weight distribution of 46:54...

What's wrong with this Shadow guy? Nobody here is hating anything, or even arguing; we are politely exchanging information, and sometimes opinions. We share common interests, own similar cars, and have no agenda other than learning more about them. Anyone who can help us toward that common goal is welcome.

ahh here it is our first hater from the v6'ers.... It was only a matter of time. SO what proof do you have to argue your claim, you are literally talking with nothing to back yourself up here at all. Quite funny, these v6'ers jealous.

So your RC200t, with the same front engine layout as the RC350/RC-F (and only weighs 11 pounds less than the RC350), is able to dramatically shift its weight distribution from 54:46 to 42:58 and now has a better weight distribution than the Lexus LFA (48:52 front/rear)?
