If I sell my SC should I get a 350z or Crossfire?

[QUOTE=INTIMAZY;9437649]The 350z convertibles are a bad egg. I wouldn't consider it at all.
The coupe is a VERY different animal. I currently own a 350Z and use it exclusively for track use because of (wait for it!) its incredible chassis. Compared to my SC and Evo, the Z is just a much better choice because of how good that chassis is for a car with such a long wheelbase.
The 370Z is also a wonderful choice that gives up some wheelbase in order to drop a few pounds.
The G35 is a really great alternative as well if you need a backseat.
The G37 is a boat. I seriously never enjoyed that car. It's just too heavy to be in the same category. It really shouldn't be compared to the old G35 nor the 370Z. It's much more like an SC400.
Crossfire? Just look at it. That's all i have to say.

That's a really funny picture. The Crossfire really does look like that.

What's your price range?????
As for the Crossfire, HELL NO. Quality is junk, and its a Mercedes SLK under the skin, so its going to be stupid expensive to fix when it breaks. Its from the bad early 2000's Dailmer/Chrysler era, so no.
I'm not too fond of the 350z either, or Nissans in general since they were bought out by Renault. The french are known for making junky cars and it shows on the 350z. It really is a horribly cheap feeling car, probably one of the worst interiors of any modern car I've been in. Plus for a 2 seat sports car its a heavy pig, thanks to it sharing the same chassis as the G35 sedan and FX SUV. If you do buy a 350z with the manual gearbox, read up about it on the forums. The first year or two the factory shipped them with defective, crunchy synchros, there were numerous TSB's about the issue, some people had their trans replaced multiple times under warranty.
If you want a 2 seater, I'd go with an S2000, Miata, or C6 Corvette(yes the 350z interior is worse than the Vette IMO). Miatas can be had for CHEAP in great condition, S2000 or C6 is going to be 15-25k, so I need to know your budget here. You might also consider a used Subie BRZ/Scion FR-S, those are fun cars as well.

So in the 7000-10,000 price range. Miatas and s2000s are out because their all convertibles as well as mr2. FRZ out of the price range. 1999- 2000 Vette yes. Had a chance to buy a nice 2001 Vette with 88,000 miles for 11,000, wasnt prepared to buy at the time.

Every time I see one (every day, go figure) it hurts my soul.

A hardtop Z28 ex-cop car would be nice to not have to have t-tops. Although they seem hard to work on, thanks to that long slooping windsheild that extends half way over the engine. T.A. looks good, but no hardtops.
