Oh wow, I'm surprised no one else has commented or even noticed this. maybe it's going to be a case of the SC/soarer to supra scenario again? I really hope so, because if that's the case.. I might wait a bit for the supra version to come out and hope for a manual transmission. Already planning on doing payments on the LC500 (was going to go for an audi R8 in the next couple years but the announcement of the LC500 and the price hike of the new R8 changed my mind sadly.) but if it happens then it's probably worth the wait since it'll probably have a different powertrain (maybe that planned BMW/toyota collab hybrid inline 6 performance powertrain?) and a lower pricetag, after all toyota has renewed the supra trademark.. Also when you sit down and look carefully at the LC500 and the FT-1 concept (which is rumored to be the supra's concept) they do seem to share a similar geometry.. could it be?

That's a beautiful car. We need a supra back tho. The Japanese automakers should do a throwback to the 90s and all remake their sports cars that everyone seemed to love. RX-7, Supra, 300ZX, 3000GT.

 

$95k is more than I can justify ... but, I love the car.

 

thats what I thought. Highly likely the lc 500 is the lexus version of the supra when it comes out.

 

Thats awesome. The FT1 is given the green light so yes, we are going to see another Soarer/Supra era but with different names. I can't wait.

It'll be in the showroom next year.

 

I personally, I prefer it in Blue or Gray Color.

 

Now that the supra is finally out in public hands. the rear ends of the LC500 and the supra are actually pretty similar. but thats about it.

"Transmission needs alot of development". That's a bad comment for the price tag. I'm almost certain the LC 500 has the same motor as my RC-F.
