That is awful. My worst nightmare. Last time someone hit my car I was sitting at a window eating and looking out at my car. Dude tried to run. Got his plates, called the cops, they went to his house and brought him back and eventually his insurance paid for my repairs. Best of luck going forward with this

Sorry about your car man. What's wrong with people nowadays they got no respect or morals. The best thing you can do is file a claim with your insurance and let your school police know. I'm planning on getting a dash cam that will start recording if it senses movement like if someone hits your car.

Tough luck. Sorry.
I see the partial hood clear bra - so, assuming you had clear bra on your front bumper as well. Do let us know if your insurance covers the clear bra on the bumper after it is replaced.

Very sorry to see this. I should stop complaining about my new door ding (bastards!).
Soon it will be fixed and behind you.

That's F-ed up! Hopefully you have uninsured motorist insurance to get it fixed.
This kinda craps happens every day in Los Angeles not to mention all the police pursuits. I watched someone back into my Caddy a few weeks ago and without even making an attempt to check if there's any damage he put it drive sped off.
I'm slowly losing my faith in people to do the right thing in todays society!

Sucks bro! Sorry to hear that! I lost it when my car got keyed in a mall parking garage probably by some punk kid who didn't know better. Anyways seeing those pics of yours is exactly the reason why I don't backpark and expose my front end to the travel lane. There is more damage and parts to replace as opposed to the rear.

yeah its a good minor thing everyone can do to ensure their front end continues to look pretty.
even when i parked my car (rear facing out), not parking like a jerk crossing lines, and didn't even park far away to draw attention, i still got my car keyed. the mall garage camera couldn't pickup the guy bc it was too blurry and technology was old.
i've been actively researching for dash cams. I'm looking to have a front and rear dash cam setup with active recording even when parked and car is turned off. i think the investment is well worth it. another forum member says he's invested $500-600 on his camera setup, but has caught so many people in hit and runs and his insurance as covered every time without req him to pay any deductible.
