OEM Replacement: Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Quick garage shots of the 265/35 & 235/40 PSS combo on '12+ wheels.
I love the look. Looking forward to breaking these in and pushing the car more.
Now, what's up with this? Both front and rear tires came with just 9/32" of tread new. The rears are Mercedes spec (MO), which still lists as 10/32" new. The front size doesn't include non-standard variations. A little stumped.

They look great! But even on wider '12 wheels they are wide enough.
Are you going to track this setup? If yes, please let us know.
I would be happy with a bit more sidewall, as roads we have here are not the best :/

Yep, something is off here. I contacted Michelin Canada, will post the outcome.

Yes, hoping to track these, but don't wait on me - this will be my first track event ever.

That looks great on the 2012+ rims. The 265s look perfect on the rear 2011 rims but the front 235 is just a little too tall on the 2011 rims. I have the Porsche OEM 265s which are supposedly 9/32 to begin with, so I might be at 8/32!!

Here's the same 235/265 sizes on 2011 rims:
Notice a bit more sidewall with the narrower rims.
No problem in the back IMO.
That extra half inch on the front rims makes a difference in appearance.

x2!! Those Pilot Sports look proper on there! I'm sure they're going to grip nicely. Contemplating now whether to stick with my original plan of going to a 275/30 and 245/35, or do the specs mentioned above..

Can 2011 rear rims be run on the front? I know on my Infiniti there was just a bolt on the front wheel hub that had to be removed to allow the rears on the front. But, I think the front and rear wheels were the same size on the infiniti, they just didn't want the wider tires accidentally to be in rotated up front.
Since it's essentially impossible to find a set of 12+ rims, I wonder if that extra half inch rim width up front could be gained this way.

You have a 2010, correct? That was my same dilemma--I felt that especially up front the 245 would bubble over the rim. I have the 245 set up on my front 8.5" Volks for my G Coupe and it looks correct, but even there it seems like it would be handled a bit better on a 9" rim--that's a lot of tire for an 8" rim.

I have the 2012 OEM rims and most people seem to be running 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rears. I don't want the wheel gap to be any bigger than my stock setup so what are your thoughts on running 245/40/19 fronts and 275/35/19 rears?
Does anyone have pics of the 245/40/19 fronts and 275/35/19 rears on 2012+ wheels?

Thanks for the clarification Mike. Since PSS doesn't carry 285 rear sizes, do you recommend 275/35 or 275/30 for the rears?
