Default To ES350 (2013) or not to ES350

K so I have been a member forever though just back after never being too involved. ES300 (funky cold Xmission) and looking at the 2013 Black on Black with the power pack. Big concerns over the Xmission bucking, hesitating yada yada. So I am curious whether this is a concern #1 and #2 can I change out the chip like I can on the 2002-3 to eliminate this issue?

HELP I don't have a car since my mommy van died and we need a replacement soon

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. You stated that you are looking at a black on black 2013 with a "power pack". What is a "power pack?" You also stated that the transmission is "bucking, hesitating, yada yada". The transmission shouldn't be behaving like that so it should be repaired. I can't imagine that "chipping" it will resolve the issue. Perhaps you can clarify your question with more detail.

-The ES350 has a power package as an option.
-The transmission of this car tends to behave as I mentioned, since I have an ES300 that has this issue I have recently noticed that better gas tends to alleviate the issue. I am looking for those to answer that have this same type of car and issue.
-Do you test drive Camry's as well?

What does that mean? I've never even heard of an option called "Power Package".

What is this "power pack" that you speak of?

Puzzled. Don't understand why/how octane number of gas improves transmission performance.
Please explain.

I like it! But am concerned the pack might get uncomfortable while driving long distances.

Not sure of the OP's concern with the transmission. Lexus/Toyota went from a 5 speed to a 6 speed with the '07 MY. After some issues initially, the 6 speed seems to be pretty smooth and reliable.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't think of the flux capacitor. That's probably what it is. I changed mine out after two years for a more powerful unit... Tried to get one for the Model A but none available until 1985...
