Received this in the mail two days ago, curious to know if anyone else has? I have heard of the LS460 having brake actuator issues and I know a few of you on here have experienced them as well. My car is a 2008 GS460.

It's about time. There's no reason a high end car should have the brake actuator fail so frequently. I bought my car not too long ago and the actuator needed to be replaced. No codes or lights on the dash but it was constantly turning on every time I touched the pedal. I thought I was screwed but luckily I had a 2 month warranty from autonation. I had to jump through hoops to get the dealer to send the car and have the part replaced at jm Lexus. Everything is good now but it still makes that buzzing noise when the brake is applied very hard and on initial startup and when I turn the car off. Lexus says those are regular cycles to build pressure. This is the second time this car has had this part replaced in 100k miles. I wonder if they replaced mine with the 2013 gs450h as I think this is the updated part number. Does anyone know if the 2013 pump should be a better part?
Thomas, thanks for the golden posting. Just dropped off my GS and got a call from service rep. confirming the fix under this warranty. I didn't have any warning lights but felt some abnormalities with the braking system.
Dealers are going to have no problem getting this repair done if corporate foots the bill. I'm going to save this just in case the one I got replaced 2 months ago under warranty goes to crap too.

What kind of abnormalities have you experienced exactly? I've noticed mine have been a bit on the weaker side lately, but they're still good according to the Lexus tech. Seems a bit odd that my parents' beater '05 Accord out-brakes my GS460
So is this something we can all get done, or do our brakes need to have some serious symptoms? Mine seems to be stronger sometimes than others and I also get the buzzing noise when I turn the car off. If I can get a free new part that would be nice

There's actually some hesitation like a shake when coming to a complete stop and a weird beeping kind of noise when you brake abruptly and sometimes even braking and pushing the start button to turn on the car. As it starts you hear the beep noise. It was really annoying. But now normal as it should. The receipt shows a $2,800 fix which includes the brake actuator and $280 labor.
I always thought these mailed in extended warranties were a scam. They get you to send in $XXX and then if/when you have a problem they either disappear or produce some fine print for why they can't cover the cost or only a small portion of it.

Is there an actual TSB about the problem? That states the affected model years?
Has anyone had any success getting an out-of-extended-bulletin repair? I bought a GS460 with this issue. I'll attempt to try my luck with the local dealers, but otherwise, I may have to get rid of the car.
