Look at the poll, most said the Honda driver was at fault or both at fault though the Subaru has caught up for now.

If people would just follow the golden rule. Things would be so much better, and things like this wouldn't happen. I know it's pretty much a pipe dream in this day and age. I can still dream though.

Call it all you like, the fault lies squarely with the Subie for
1. Tailgating
2. Not having the skills to survive an emergency situation

Why should one let him pass? Why? Why?
But that is a real situation. What if the driver in front saw a dog in the way, and braked? What if sunlight got in his eyes and he brakes to reduce speed as a safety measure?

I am taking the liberty of reporting this to the proper state authority with the video as evidence and am waiting to hear back if charges will be pressed.

REally?
The whole concept of driving is based upon a What IF situation. Looks like you need to go back to driving school.
Do so. I am sure the cops have better work to do then try and mediate a situation created by 2 idiots.

It's plainly obvious in this thread who would pull a move like the Honda driver did and frankly it's very disturbing.
The Subaru driver certainly could use some driving lessons but the Honda driver had no call and no place making an unsafe road condition into a dangerous road condition which resulted in a collision and likely backed up traffic in their wake.

Here is how stupid the mentally of a brake checker sounds. While as long as you are following far enough back to stop no matter what happens with th car in front of you. If they are stopping for a child or for idiotic reasons. The Subaru in the first video is as stupid as the pilot, because he wasn't at a safe distance.

You have no insight into what was going on in the Honda Pilot Cabin. Maybe the 2 were fighting, or maybe the driver was trying to reduce speed for he thought he was speeding.... the what IF are many
At least we agree on that
Read above. Do you have special insight on why the Honda Pilot applied brakes other than your gut feel?

and is this the way you communicate with the vehicle ahead of you? Ride the tail? AFAIK, you are supposed to flash to pass or Blow your horn.

Obvious? How do you know? Do you practice in that art too?

The Honda driver was not in fact driving too slow in the left lane as they had just passed the pickup and were in process of passing another vehicle.
The point of conflict is the Subaru closing in on the Honda driver and moving in for the pass. The Honda driver sees this and aggressively blocks the attempt to pass.
The Subaru should have hung back and waited to pass until the Honda passed the next vehicle to the right, then passed on the left as customary. This did not happen though and they attempted another pass on right and were aggressively blocked a second time, then swerved into the right lane in error, losing control of the vehicle in the process.
Both made poor decisions here but the Honda driver should not have responded in that manner.
