Hello all i am getting the GSF tinted and i was told by the tint shop they have to remove the door panels to tint it correctly, so the tint does not peel from the bottom... is this true?
You was there when the tint guy was installing the tint on your car? I do not believe it. LOL
Do you pay more $$$ after the shop installing the tint?
Because a good tint shop never do that. The shop seeing your car and see that you have money. LOL
You can also, call another local tint shop or stop in that other tint shop and ask the same question. If that shop need to take out the door panel in that particular car or not?
But again, in all the car that I have before and now the tint shop never need to take the door panel out. IMHO
I've had many cars and trucks tinted and never have they removed the door panel. Not sure why they would. Their squeegee pushes the tint below the inner door trim.
I had the door panels removed. I watched the install.
Huper Optik Ceramic.
No issues with vibration, or broken clips.
I too had the door panels removed. I watched the install also. One of the installers was an ex-Lexus 10 year Certified Collision Center interior employee. Hüper Optik Ceramic here too. Perfect!
Installed by Pro Tint in Plano, TX with over 20 years experience installing window tint on vehicles of all types, including Rolls-Royce, Bentley and many supercar exotics from Bugatti to Pagani.

U missed the "Unless there's a absolute necessity part" if they know what they are doing. Thanks for the info.
They 'want' to take the panels off because they can do a perfect install job. Since they know what they're doing, taking the panels off is desirable...not undesirable. The three guys that did mine worked like precision surgeons...and you could tell they wouldn't accept anything less than perfection in their work.

You're welcome!
