As I had stated in other threads, I ordered the exhaust finally from RR. The rear section arrived first, there was a little hiccup with Borla, but no problems. I'm currently in the process of painting the tips gloss black. I'm not a fan of chrome or "shiny" metals. Thought I'd share what I've done so far.
Sanded from 80 up to 220 on the tips then painted with 5 coats of Rustoleum Self Etching Primer. Of all the rattle can jobs with primer I've done over the years, I gotta say I'm very pleased with the finished look of the primer. Super smooth, and no blemishes. I was concerned about a couple spots where I accidentally let the plywood rub before the primer set, but amazingly with out retouching it, it fixed itself. This is after 5 hours of drying time.
Fast forward to tonight, light sanded with 1000 grit, basically just enough to make scuff marks. then came 3 coats of Rustoleum High Heat Engine Enamel Gloss Black. Gotta say the finish is super smooth. Gotta wet sand one spot tomorrow that my arm bumped against but no big deal.
Got some more work to do the next couple nights. Then the exhaust will be installed on Saturday morning. And yeah I'll post an updated video of the wonderful sounds after the install.
Random little interesting thing. The paint I'm using is not a metallic paint, at all. I did not add flakes of any kind. And yet, somehow there's this odd bluish pearl effect coming out of the paint as it dries. It looks pretty awesome, I think. I doubt it will still be that way when it completely dries.
Thanks for looking. I'll update the next couple days with the finished product and the install on Saturday.

Small world, I'm usually between Rockville and Bowie area, myself. Agreed on the DC thing, I have a self-imposed ban on that city.
Looking forward to photos of the results.
Looks like we'll have to have a meetup soon so people can see/hear the results in person. my plan is to go to TTFS in Crofton soon after install for some dyno pulls to see the changes
