Default Pimp my Lexus!

Hello all, I am new here and this is my first post. I bought a 2006 Lexus IS 350 and have done nothing to it. It has 120k miles. I want to do some upgrades but I don't know where to start. I'm mostly looking for cosmetic upgrades and some mechanical upgrades. I definitely don't plan on keeping the wheels. Thanks!!

For handling, go get the F-sport sway bars. Today. Don't wait. They're that big an improvement. 400-ish for the set usually and you can install yourself pretty easily in 1-2 hours. great ood tires will make more of a difference to handling/braking than pretty much anything else you can do. Hankook V12s are the way to go as long as you don't need to drive in snow.

If the wheels are 18" ( may look like 17") you can paint, dip , etc to remove the red eice ring until you're ready to replace em. They'll look fine once you're lowered. And spend that money modding in other places first. Also, in the third picture , your doors look like they don't match the car. Was it wrecked before? It is probably just the way the light hits it. But welcome to the family!

It's just a bad angle. How durable is the dip? Will it stay on for a good amount of time and not look worn?

Its very durable. Give it a rinse once a week for best looks. I plasti dipped an old set of stock 17's and rode them through a Canadian winter and they were just fine. The only part that will get damaged is the area that your lug nuts tighten into.. and also you need to be careful with the socket installing the wheels. Other then that its a very viable alternative to new wheels.

Congrats on the car! I'd definitely get the car lowered. Lowering springs will make the car look way better even on stock wheels.
