Can't wait for the LC, surprised there is so little chatter on CL about it.

Out of sight out of mind. We'll hear more around December when the LC is slated for a first quarter launch.

they are what they are. they're unique, excellent quality, not for everyone, but well placed in most cases and hard to compare with other brands, which is smart when you're still the 'up start' that took on europe!
But that's just it, they are. Slow and steady wins the race:

On another note, younger buyers are much less brand-loyal than they used to be, which will play out in a very interesting way with brands like Mercedes and BMW (and maybe even Lexus) where clients came back year after year and traded up to whatever was available. I think that is why MB and BMW are offering so many variations in every model of vehicle. It is a way for them to capture every possible segment of the market, even if it is niche. Who needs an X6? Somebody out there.
Do they now? Good for them, wish Lexus would too.

That's a great point about the other automakers and the essential 'excess' that they produce. Sure a lot of it will rot on a lot, but with more niche vehicles supporting the core models, the chances or retaining a customer with a model that fits the bill is likely, provided their current ownership experience with the vehicle or brand is good.

Lexus has a leaner / simpler approach right now. To each automakers own I guess.
