beautiful car!! That picture accentuates what I hated most about that generation G37. It has more rear bumper than anything else from that angle.

Saw a couple in person earlier this year and just saw a TV commercial for it. It certainly beats the living snot out of the G37 coupe it replaces just as the Q50 does relative to the G37 sedan. Like the Lexus RC, the styling catchy but unlike the 4-series or new C-class coupe, it is not handsome and probably won't age well. Seems like they put a bunch of creases, curves, and awkward shapes to make it stand out rather than creating a more tasteful and timeless design. It certainly looks cool, but looks a bit funky too. The 4-series looks well-tailored and perfectly executed from every angle. You know it will still look great 30+ years from now, can't say the same for this car.

I disagree with your style appraisal of the 4-series and C-class to a degree, as there's definitely some off styling flourishes on both. Further, I must say I generally don't have a problem with automakers going for a more "in the moment" design, especially with sporty coupes. They're here to evoke emotion in the owner and not everyone is trying to hold onto these cars forever anyways. I'm glad there's something out there for everyone.

uh yeah, that's because of BMW's ultra conservative boring styling...yaaaaawn ('cept for M4).

It's a typo. Infiniti's website shows 295 lb-ft @ 1,600-5,200 rpm

Agreed. The flattened and missing rear bumper has been the strangest feature on the last model. This is slightly better. Also better back there is there's now some bodywork actually surrounding the large exhaust tips. Previous design just had them hanging there in thin air.
Only problem now though is all that cheap-looking gloss black plastic down there. Terrible new trend that started with the new Volt.

I can see the similarities in the cut lines and length taillights, but the Q60 is very round and the Camaro is very square. They don't really look similar to me either.

In a strange way, the front end reminds me of the Jag XJ

I'd like to add Lincoln and some of the new 2017 Hyundai's are moving towards a similar shape

Beautiful coupe. And it's going to be affordable too. This should be a homerun for Infiniti. If they get the steering right, the high-performance model may be an absolute winner for a lot of enthusiasts. And the tuners will be in heaven...

Agreed. I'm so glad this car is close to hitting the lots, as it's suffered quite the painful gestation.

-Original design (which I wish I could see) rejected by Johan de Nysschen late in development
-Complete exterior redesign effort
-Development delayed due to work on V6 TT motor
-Actual delivery of vehicles to lots for sale delayed by ~4 months

Infiniti has really been having a nightmare getting models out on time.
