SC430 Shadow Lights (door lights)
I purchased lights for the door that project onto the pavement with the Lexus logo. Unfortunately they won't show up correctly...they were purchased from Amazon, my first set I sent back because they did not fit correctly and second set I'd the same. Different vendors but the lights look the same and may be from the same Asian manufacturing company.

HEY! Those are pretty cool.
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Are they directional? Could you flip the entire assembly around and still have it fit into the door slot?
I looked at Mr. Blisters link and the last poster said he had to take his apart and adjust the logo., but he did eventually get it working

Or could you possibly put a very very small shim under one side to get the projector at the right angle?

Thanks Dar, I will consider your suggestions but would rather locate a part that fits.

I bough these shadow lights. I had to adjust the lenses to show the full image, then shaved the cut out for them to snap in place.
See my product review comment.

The image of the Lexus logo was not fully show on the ground on my SC430. I had to adjust the lenses for the image fully shown then the lights would not snapped into the door due to the interference. I ended up to modify the cut out on the doors for them to snapped in. Other than that, they're great.

You must specify Lexus when order.
To show full image, you must realign the lenses, then shave the cut out show the light can snap inplace.

This was the style I used. The lens one was not available when I did mine. I have had good luck with them. The higher they are mounted the larger the logo is. I chose to drill my under side of the door panel. Not the metal the actually door panel there is a flat section that
allows you to drill and mount them. Came with the drill. I explained in my orig thread how I did it. I looked for the vendor I used but I could not find them. They were in China.

...those look like the ones I purchased a few years ago. I cut the hole in the panel also, wired it into the factory door light & haven't had an issue. They also turnoff after 2 minutes, to keep from burning themselves out

See post #7. If you decide to buy these, keep in mind you must disassemble the light, realigning the lense to different angle, shave the door cut out a bit, then the light will show full image. There are new models available without realigning the lense, some member have posted in recent thread. Do the search.

In my case, on the SC, this was way back I 2012, I had to install the projector type, meant I needed to put a hole and installed the projector and the Lexus Logo is twice as big. Nowadays, they have the whole unit as plug and play and my other 2 Lexus cars have them, however some modification required to eliminate the logo being cut off. I have another set of the old fashioned way projectors, if anybody is interested.
