Getting ready to install mine and this thread was helpful about the two brackets that need to be removed. I'm not sure what these pieces do functionally? Anyone know?

My question: the stock diffuser appears to have outlets at the rear of the bumper that will be covered up by the S4play diffuser. I felt around at the start of the diffuser closer to the front of the car, and it is fairly sealed off, with just some openings for air to potentially pass through.

So, is air flowing into and out of the stock diffuser or just flowing past it? It would seem that if air is flowing between the diffuser and the bottom of the car and then exiting out of the diffuser that this would always be pushing down on the S4play without anywhere for the air to go. Perhaps this is why some have popped off?

Any thoughts?

Here's some pics: first is of the brackets that need to be removed to install (for reference), second is the vents in the oem diffuser.

Does air flow down out of these vents?
