Real world mileage

I'll post my pics later. Don't even get me started with mileage, it's the bane of my existence I have to say though, I love my 2013 GS350 AWD very much. I used to put speedway/hess, then it got a little too expensive/lower average mpg. Mileage wasn't so good, I was averaging 14-14.5 MPG. I decided to go with Sunoco Ultra 93. I used to go near Fenway Park to fill up but it turns out the Sunoco close to my house has it cheaper. As of recently it's 2.51 a gallon for ultra 93. Based on my computer, my average is 14.7 MPG. After Refueling usually fluctuates between 14.5 and 16 MPG. All city driving of course. I once got 28.5 MPG after an hour of highway driving with minimal traffic. I had an exterior detail done last week and my service advisor, Nick, put me in a 2016 GS 350 AWD loaner for day. I looked at the computer before driving and the average was 16 MPG. I got just that while driving the car around for the day. The 2016 gave me the same mileage in ECO and Normal. In Normal my car maxes out at 15 MPG if I'm lucky. In Eco I can get 16.

After moving into our new house, my route changed from mostly highway to mostly surface streets. I used to get about 23-24 on the highway, but now am lucky if I sniff 19 on average... and that's with ECO engaged. I really can't stand driving in ECO (the constant desire to upshift can get annoying and the feeling like I'm towing a piano), but honestly, I'm in no hurry to get to the next light during rush hour. The last road trip we took I managed to eek out close to 28mpg and made it from Tampa to Hilton Head on one tank of gas.
