Caviar is a beautiful color. I have stargazer black on my RX and its interesting how it never made it to other Lexus models. I also agree that nebula gray is terrible. I didn't like it when it came out, and I still dont. Cars with that color dont shine or stand out. SGM was great, and so was Flint Mica before it.
Even though it remains unclear when the Lexus LC500 will arrive stateside, expectations are high for the model which Lexus claims is its most dynamic car since the potent LFA.
That's not to say that the LC500 even attempts the same levels of performance as the LFA or that it's styling is close to as supercar-ish. However, if a tuner were to get its hands onto an LC and set about giving it an even greater sports car vibe, they may come up with a design similar to this.
Created by digital artist Rain Prisk, the rendering featured takes a standard LC500 and provides it with a much sleeker and more menacing design.
Most significantly, the wheel arches have been flared to dramatically alter the vehicle's presence and stance on the road. Additionally, the standard wheels have been blacked out and given a deep dish design.
Other alterations include tweaked headlight clusters, an additional black lip spoiler, a murdered-out front grille, a bootlid lip spoiler and the lowering of the roofline and windscreen.
With the possible exception of the wheels, the finished result looks like something Lexus itself would produce. Here's hoping a potential 'F' badged LC model looks this good.
I honestly expect hybrid to be 15K cheaper. Same set up in GSh (minus physical gears) is 22K cheaper than GS-F.
This is basically GS-F engine vs GSh engine, I don't understand the logic of making it more expensive.
lol, what? GS450h is so much more expensive than RX450h because it has two stage planetary gearset... LC500h is going to be even more expensive.
V6, V8, thats all relatively affordable old school technology.

When the GSh was introduced, was there a GS460 in production? What were the price overlaps at that time?

I would assume that it would be cheaper as well. It has less total hp output, less performance according to the press release. Why would anyone pay more for less performance?
After seeing that LC500 photoshop in real time, I have a whole new appreciation for this art. And those wheel arches look amazing, its now looking more like a supercar.
New Lexus LC 500 - Got to see it in person, pics & short vid inside.
Went to a car event this past Sunday that featured some high end cars (Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren, MB, BMW etc.)
Lexus brought out their new LC 500 and a rep was there asking if people wanted more info (brochure) on it. At first I didn't even notice it as it was parked randomly next to some other cars and it was a BLACK color in a sea of bright supercars! lol
Anyway here my thoughts and observations:
- The car is really big. Its definitely a S550 coupe / 650i competitor rather than 911 / SL550.
- Side of the car is beautifully done, very exotic imo.
- Front is absolutely HIDEOUS. (I like RCF/GSF front but on the LC, the predator grill is no bueno.)
- Rear is OK but a bit over styled especially the lower exhaust area.
- Interior was a big letdown. No way this is nicer than S550 in person. The color reminds me of the old burgundy interiors in 70s/80s Cadillacs.
- Wheel gap and offset are weak and ruin stance of the car compared to concept
- Lexus made a dumb decision bringing a Black car that does not standout, Red would of looked better.
- I personally did not see too much interest in it from the people there.
- If they price it at $100k as we are hearing, $20-25k discounts will follow.
Yeah I too am surprised they would have chosen that unit to display, interesting color choice both inside and outside.
Also remember from what we've seen there are different interior packages, so we don't know how high up the chain that interior is to make a comparison with the S550 coupe.
yeah that interior does nothing for me either. still don't get the 'wall' between driver and passenger.
yeah, I don't like that cubicle divider thing.
I wonder if there's a way to remove it.

I'm super excited to hear that it's the size of an S550 coupe. Thanks for the pictures and videos
First time seeing it with a spoiler.
Lexus needs to start using better materials for their buttons and switches, too much plastic.
I love the spindle grill era.
Other than that, I can't wait for the new LC
