compatible ABS sensors?
I pulled the ABS code on the new car and it's either the front right or rear left sensor. I haven't tackled removing them yet to test (can't jack the car up until moving it down to the semi-level street, but waiting on the starter rebuild kit so I only have to mess with getting it started once), but looked on Rock Auto for compatible vehicles as possible donors.
fronts: '92-00 SC3/SC4, '94-96 Supra ('94-98?)
rears: '92-96 SC3/SC4, '93-95 GS300 ('93-97?)
Obviously, Supra donors are unicorn-rare, so if it's the front one that's bad, I'll need to find one from a SC. If it's the rear, finding a GS should be easier. Are there any other Lexus or Toyota vehicles with compatible sensors that aren't showing up in the cross-listing?

I picked up some new wheels yesterday and snapped a few pics of the front ABS sensors while I had them off. I had to order more tuner lug nuts for the rears, so it'll be a couple days before I have those off. The front right sensor looks like a very likely culprit, which would rule out the GS300 as a donor.
BTW, the ABS code is #36, Open circuit in front right or rear left speed sensor circuit.
Front right.
Front right.
Front right close-up.
Front left.
The bracket thingy that bridges the ABS cable over to the upper control arm looks messed up on the right side, so I wouldn't be surprised if the wiring was damaged when that side was hit ~8 yrs ago.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll end up doing. I've got a couple of them on my watch list in case I don't find something local. I was hoping a newer Toyota or Lexus vehicle used the same sensors, but they probably don't go bad too often, so picking up an old SC one is simplest.

I never got it confirmed, but the early GS300 rears do appear to be the same.
I ended up getting a used SC sensor for the front right and that eliminated the dash light. The head on the replacement sensor was a bit different than the old one. I'll have to try locking up the brakes one of these days to see if the system is working properly...
