Chrome rims dated or out of style or ...
They still look great on the SC 430?
I notice many SC these days have Chrome OEM rims
I actually like them on the SC ( I have them on my SC with
the twisties ) .
what do you guys think ? Chrome or no chrome ?
Happy motoring

The main thing about your post is, you actually like them, which is mainly what counts.
Now to answer your question, it's not totally played out, it's just that there seems to be a style shift towards black or dark wheels of late. That may change back to polished & chrome wheels which don't seem to be totally out of style.
Why not post up some pics of your chrome wheels.

My 2006 has OEM wheels that are partially Chrome and partially matte. I've never been a fan of Chrome wheels, but I really like the two-tone look of these, with the matte colored inserts coordinating well with the Chardonnay Pearl main color of the car. It's really just a matter of personal preference, though...

I like the 08 pebble beach ones a lot. Enough to straighten slightly bent ones. Sure less maintenance with chrome

I don't think chrome ever really goes out of style. Every time the auto industry makes a push away from chrome, it always seems to make a comeback. Classic style cues seem to stand through time.

I think is not so much the chrome part, it also depends the design, the size, the look you're going for and stance, some part also the owners age and gender.
There is a big crowd that has an sc430 and make changes on the suspension and that branches out to another dimention, tricked out paint jobs, sound systems etc.
So that' my 0.02.

I still like chrome and polished rims but I think they are considered outdated now. I also find it difficult to keep them clean.

Totally personal preference. Chrome wheels are a classic hot rod look. Hard to go way wrong going with a classic look on wheels. This is assuming the wheels are a relatively reasonable size and not the silly hugely oversized wheels and tires currently trendy with the "LOOK AT ME!!!" set.
