I still say the FT1 concept is much closer to LC500 which is could be the sister car to the next gen supra. Just like the SC300 was to the MK4 Supra.

These camo cars just do not look like a Supra successor, it looks like a much lower end car from the way it sits and its proportions like a GT86 type car instead of something that is supposed to take on a Corvette or 911.

Agree. Appears to be FRS/BRZ/86-like in size but I'm hopeful the camo is doing its thing in misleading us while the real size and stance is 911-like when the wraps come off.

I take back what I said about these camo's not looknig like FT-1. In these most recent photos, it appears they peeled back some of the camo and we can better see the resemblance. That rear show has the organic bubbly lines of the MK4 Supra. The camo car also has a hint of a rear intake for the rear brakes on the door. There's a separate panel that could be covering that up. One major difference is the FT1 is a 2+2 while the camo car is definitely a 2 seater. There's just no space between the door and the rear wheel well.

the top pic had the stick on tailights that the early test mules had which give the appearance of a wider rearr in this angle of the pic.

I hope those hideous mirrors dont make it to production car....they look like the exact ones from a regular 3 series.
Also the wheel gap, narrow tires, and the horrible offset of the wheels are really concerning even if its for a "base" model.

The concept is just a shell over a RC chassis. The design team said they made the concept 10% larger than what a production car would be in order to give the FT-1 a great stage presence.
I think it looks proportional to the old Supra. The prototype in question has a longer hood IMO. The last gen wasn't that big to start off with. It is only 10.9 inches longer than the 86.

Last Supra had a longer Corvette/SC400/928ish stance and proportions with a longer sleeker profile and was a full on competitor to those cars, it looked pretty expensive and special. These camo cars have more of a GT86/Celica/Z3 stance and proportions and don't look like something that would compete with a Corvette, LC, or 911 or all that special but more lower end like a slighter bigger GT86/BMW Z3 competitor or at most a 370Z competitor which no longer competes with the Corvette like the 300ZXtt used to.
