Default What size socket or wrench do I need, oil change

When changing oil there is a special Toyota round tool you can buy from autozone that's really cheap and fits onto the oil filter to remove it. Anyone know what size socket or wrench I need that fits onto the Toyota tool? Wondering what kind of socket wrench set I woukd need to get to do my own oil changes, I know I need 10mm and 14mm but not sure of size for the Toyota tool

Any 1/2 inch drive socket wrench should fit into the Oil Filter Socket tool.

The one I use from autozone uses 7/8" socket. Not sure if that's the same one you have though.

Why not ask the person behind the counter at AutoZone?

There's a special filter wrench you absolutely need to remove the housing for the ISx50, especially if the car's had the oil changed by a shop in the past who most likely over tightened it. It's called TOY640. Runs about $20

Ok - Here's mine. As you can see I bolted a socket to the tool. That socket is, as has been said above, 15/16"

If you don't have a 15/16 socket in your toolbox, you can also use a crescent (adjustable) wrench.
