I don't know too much about TPMS so I asked a friend about it. He tells me there are two types of TPMS; One type deals with tire pressure (obviously) and the other type deals with suspension and/or balancing of the wheels or something?? He also mentioned that the valve stem can either be on the wheel or attached to the tire? Does anybody know how the stock TPMS are set up on the stock wheels? I have a 2013 GS350 nonFsport, by the way.
I have aftermarket wheels I'd like to put on and want to get this thing settled before I get them mounted. I'm the type that can't stand the (_!_) light on my dash so I want to get rid of it lol
The TPMS on the 4GS shows the real time pressure at each tire. The sensors are attached to the wheel, not the tire. I have aftermarket wheels and I was able to transfer the original sensors over from the stock wheels.
I was going to get new ones for the aftermarket wheels, which are TPMS compatible but now that Yardie876 says that he used the original TPMS and put them the new wheels, I will do just that!! save me about 320 bucks!!
