LSX IS250 Engine Swap
Former Is300 Owner here, Its been a long desire to build an LS swapped Lexus. After finally gearing up to pull the trigger, I decided I wanted a newer car....
I found an '07 Is250 6 speed Car locally in great shape, high mileage. Perfect Candidate.... After Reading Thumpers Thread numerous times, I Convinced myself It would be easy. HAH.

I've decided to change it up a little with this car in hopes of simplifying the Swap for others to pursue. First, I'm Hoping to keep the Electric Power Steering, ABS, factory gauges, etc... I think starting with a 6 speed car will be considerably easier to swap. I'll be using a 6.0L Lq4 engine out a Silverado 2500HD. Ive got a good collection of parts so far and I have access to a Full Fab Shop, So I hope it will go quick and easy.... Also This car will be turbocharged when all said and done. Probably not right off the bat. My girlfriend was Daily Driving the car up until about 2 months ago when the radiator cap failed. The motor puked all the water out and melted itself down, so she's encouraging me to get it running again. LOL. We'll just keep it simple for now until I can get her another car.

Making some more progress this weekend.
I Mocked up the oil pan with some cardboard templates
Is250 LSX oil pan
Transferred the Template to 1/8" alum, Put some bends in it, Less Welds, Better!
LSX Oil Pan Fabrication
Next, Weld er Up.
Is250 LSX oil Pan Is250 LSX oil Pan Is250 LSX oil PanTest Fit Time!
Seems good to go, Could use a bit of Adjustment in a few places for better fitment, Make note for the next one
On to the Motor Mounts.
Started the same way, Cardboard Templates, Transfer To Metal, Make pretty, Etc...
Tack them in place....
You'll See why there is excess metal in the Next picture. Its Meant to wrap around the ends.
Once
.
Nice and Tidy, Slim to make for plenty of room for Turbo Plumbing.
I also Picked up a LS3 intake Like a dumbass, only to realize about 30 minutes after buying it, It has the wrong port shape on it. So its for sale, and I have an LS1/LS6 Cathedral Port manifold coming.
Or I will Just Make one Like this. This One fits under the hood of a Corvette, It should fit in my Lexus.
