Regarding eyesondesign, it appears all the new vehicles get awarded:

Just like the Tony awards. I like the interior, but I don't see the correlation between this award validations to comparisons to the S-Class interior.

I did notice addl similarities between the Nissan Vmotion and the LS.

The reviewer is great, pays great attention to detail and picks out all the strange design decisions, like the horn shaped cluster and that the storage cover flips sideways rather than back (this is a bad decision as passengers have no way to reach in).

I sense coding/modding can make it a screen to play movie?
Apparently not, just that the design is illuminated.

That's hilarious. What a joke.

great video review!

REALLY glad the screen is recessed and not 'bolt-on'.
this guy hates the infotainment system.
the curved metal 'fins' across the dash are cool, but i think the novelty would wear off pretty quick.
still not feeling the gauge cowl 'horns'.
the thing i can't get over is how LONG this LS looks... perhaps the design makes it look longer than it is by being sleek.
seems headroom is pretty bad for such a large car.
the headlights are awesome though.

This is found on many Mercedes vehicles. The passenger side has a button too do it flips open on the other side. Double hinge

The S class flip both sides, but not the case for LS as seems from the Video.

Yep, the headlights are my favorite
I don't like those metal "fins" at all, should be wood panels instead, or lacquer with flowing lines like the S class would be better ...

Well, for one thing, Lexus did put the G90 where it belongs, behind that is For some time Genesis was slowly catching up to the LS, but that's also due to the fact that the outgoing model was on the market for almost 10 years. Now Genesis will have to go back to the drawing board......

Totally agree with you there. This new LS has set the bar again on many levels.

There's no possible way Genesis thought the G90 was going to keep up with this next-gen LS when it barely (if that) eclipsed the current LS. I highly doubt they were caught off guard by this development. I do hope the G90 has a relatively short lifecycle, it's basically last-gen's goods with some nice powertrains and updated features.

I see two metal buttons on the sides of the console so I have no reason to doubt why it wouldn't be both sides

I bought my first Lexus last Fall, new IS F-Sport; coming from BMW, I have always disliked the styling of the LS. Probably the most boring looking car in Lexus entire line up in my opinion. This new LS is wonderful from a design perspective in my opinion. I can definitely see myself purchasing this in 5 years, bravo to Lexus. This car will appeal to people like me who have recently abandoned the Germans after the new design language Lexus have undertaken.
