Real carbon fiber emblem inserts! Minor touch but has a big impact in my opinion. I was skeptical at first how it would look but took a chance and glad I did! Pics below (excuse the dirt, nonstop rain lately)...

I've seen a few on here who've done it. Seeing how it turned out on some of theirs is what convinced to do it.

I like it! An easy one for me to do on my GS. I think the black on liquid platinum will look great.

Looks good, where did you get it from? Is it real carbon fiber or just like a sticker? I've had a number of carbon fiber mods/emblems purchased off of ebay and I've found that they don't hold up well depending on the protection over it. Alot of the thin plastic that is put over carbon fiber with the emblems quickly gets baked in the sun and looks bad after a while. If its something similiar you may want to add some sort of UV protection to it or try to seal it. I've gone thru countless ones for my bmw purchased off ebay.

Got it off EBay and discription says made of real carbon fiber with UV protection so I figured it was good, especially being priced at $30 for one rear insert. Here in VA it rarely gets crazy hot in the Summer so hopefully it'll be ok. It was a minor mod so no love lost if it doesn't work out lol. I may just go ahead and add some extra UV protection though just in case. Thanks for the heads up, really appreciate it!

Thanks! Agreed...I saw it on a black IS not too long ago and it was kind of pointless lol. Unless you were close up on the car, you couldn't even tell.

Thanks and I know it's nothing new haha. As mentioned, a few other posts about it is what motivated me to go ahead and do it. I was just simply showing that I did it on my car as I was bored today and they just arrived in the mail yesterday.
