Thru the nav screen it is possible to set almost any maintenance schedule by mileage or date. These must be updated to prevent the red triangle from displaying inadvertently. What am i not understanding here?
I have never had the red triangle indicator come on do to maintenance setting through nav screen, only a popup reminder after starting the car. The only instances I have gotten the red triangle indicator was for the "general" maintenance, AC filter and low tire pressure.
As a matter of fact, it does say Change AC Filter. Why? Is that significant?
The "Change A/C Filter" warning light comes on when it's time to replace your A/C Filter. After replacement, push and hold the "OFF" button for the front air conditioning (next to the navigation screen) for a few seconds. It will reset the system and "A/C Filter Reset" will appear in the message box. This information is given on the Owner's Manual
In case if you wonder where the heck is this "A/C Filter" and how you would change it... Here's what the Owner's Manual says about it.

Thanks Lavrishevo !! I got my "maint. req." reminder to stop flashing. Now I just need to get my TPM's checked. They are the factory ones so I wonder if the batteries are done. My LS430 is an 04 with 58,000 miles on it.

There are no TPM sensors in your tires on the LS430. The car calculates rotational differences between tires using the ABS sensors to determine if pressure is incorrect. If you are getting a low pressure warning I would pump up all of your tires to the proper level and then reset the system using the procedure outlined in the owners manual. I end up doing this every time I switch between my summer and winter tires...
