This maybe old news to some, but have you seen the 2018 SC Replacement?

Yeah, it's pretty disappointing that they are considering moving forward with a coupe versus a convertible.

Yeah, but the lines look so similar to the SC you wonder if it isn't far behind. It would seem that adapting the current hardtop technology wouldn't be that big a deal.

"Lexus replaced its original coupe with the SC 430, a vehicle few under the age of 65 ever coveted." Ouch, I am 43!

Looks very nice! And at 471hp, she should have some get up and go!

If it is not a convertible, I am completely uninterested. Lots of fast coupes are already on the market. What is in relatively short supply is a reliable, luxurious two plus two hardtop convertible. Perfect for me would be a something like a hardtop miata if it was 30% larger than the current miata and also sold with a high end Lexus level interior.

Yeah, I was 49 when I got mine. I wasn't too keen on that comment either.

Hmm, that sounds a lot like a SC430!

Got under my skin too.... I was 18 years old when I got my 2002. As for the LC, it looks amazing with lots of power to boot. If it came in a drop top, it would top my list. As it stands, it would serve more of a sibling to my SC430, but the RC-F is also topping that list.

What if Lexus brought back the Solara and made it as a hard-top convertible?

I have a 2008 Solara coupe that I really enjoy. I would like an SC430 that was just a tad bigger inside and had a bigger trunk.

To to be a hard top convertible and achieve more space, and not turn it into a boat. The roof would have to be a three piece.

we have both a 2007 solara convertible and a 08 sc430. Works for us. If you need a bigger car we take the solara.
