Default After 10 long years...I have a Lexus back in my stable!

Brought this home tonight after some negotiation. They were asking $6k, we got it for $4800 +TTL (about $5500 OTD). It will do well for me to have a kick around car to keep the miles down and gas out of the truck. We can take Road trips comfortably while getting better than 15mpg.

1 owner, clean carfax, TB/WP done, runs like a top!

Congratulations, Josh. I consider that version of the ES to be probably the best one ever done. Certainly it had the best interior and (to my taste) the best road manners. That white color will also help keep it cool in those blistering Texas summers.

great! I like my headlights to be 100% clear.

Are you going to change all fluids or do they have records when it was maintained?

SCRATCH-OUT will also work in some cases (if the deterioration on the plastic covers isn't too bad), and it's probably cheaper than that big kit.....about $4-5 a bottle on average.

Daylight pix:

Hazed on the right/de-hazed on the left
What i used. Followed by Meguiars #20 and #26
Before
After
The difference halfway through.

The whole headlight process took 5 minutes with my Griots Garage 3" RO polisher.

this is a 15 year old used car...she has a few bumps. But I would rather have bought an honest car with a few bumps than one thats been painted and i have NO IDEA the significance of the damage. 90% of whats on this car will buff out, the rest I will live with Because frankly, its in stellar shape for its age. I am stoked.

It has records all the way back to new. I will probably change the brakes because the rotors seem slightly warped, but those are cheap enough (I will do that myself in the driveway) and the rest is all verified done @ Sewell Lexus of Fort Worth since new, so the next thing after that will be the 180k service, probably around christmas (Timing belt, water pump, tensioner, transmission fluid/filter, power steering fluid change, brake fluid change, coolant flush).

Great find! Looks like your patience paid off. Pretty much exactly what you were looking for to keep the miles down on your truck.

Looks mint! 4th Generation ES had some of the best materials and fit and finish for the price.
