Default New to me 02 ES300

Well, I bought this for $5500 out the door. Its an 02 ES300 with 151k miles (now 152k cause I have been driving it a week). I have a touch up paint pen ordered, as well as new front brakes because the rotors are warped slightly. Other than that it needed nothing, so of course, that meant it needed everything

the night we brought her home, you can see the haze on the headlights
That gorgeous crystal white tricoat
nearly flawless interior

new michelins!
Timing belt done on time @ 90k!
It was a one owner, has every recommended service performed at Sewell Lexus of Ft Worth.
Day 1 of ownership!

Got a tint strip on the windshield and tinted the moonroof, both in 5%

LED Reverse and Plate lamps

LED Puddles

LED Domes

3000K Fogs and 6000K Lows in factory HID housings

I promise they don't glare that bad, my phone camera just sucks

LED marker lamps (upper corner of the headlamp)
Inside is mint, outside has a few dings but nothing too bad. I will likely do a front end repaint and get the rear bumper redone as there is some pole-rash on the drivers side of it.

Very nice, I remember back when you had that ES250, glad to see you back. its amazing how these cars are either completely thrashed, or really mint.

Technically, I never left. I havent had that ES250 since 2005, so thats been...

wow...

12 years

but i never left CL. Man I missed having a Lexus though. Such a well-made car these ES300's are. My brother and my folks saw it tonight. They were like "Thats a 2002!? With 150k?!"

yep...sure is.

A black diamond with 62k miles showed up at the dealer back home for $9K which I thought was a good deal, so I was going to suggest it as a car to my parents for making trips back and forth to Albany so they wouldn't rack up the miles on their newer ES and RX, it sold in a day. Not many 11 year old cars you can comfortably suggest to people with not much automotive knowledge to use as a road trip car.

For sure man. I drive about 55k a year, and my Ram took the brunt of that until i got this. It has 67k on it and i bought it new in April 2015. I got re-married and have been driving the wifes 2014 civic but its very uncomfortable with my combat injuries.

so we got the ES to pile on the miles. Ill use the truck if i need to haul something or if i want to drive it once a week/local trips. The ES goes places 15 one way mi or more.
