Lost hose...safe?
Hello everyone, if you can provide some answers it would be appreciated. I replaced my engine air filter (K&N drop in) and during the process I lost the following hose (in yellow) down the abyss. I temporarily wrapped the inlets with electric tape (tight seal) until I can get a replacement for it. I took my RX350 for a spin a round the block and eventually got on the freeway to see if the K&N filter Made any difference in accelaration, sound etc. my question...
1. I did not get any error light due to loosing a hose, will I eventually get this?
2. Can I purchase this part from a local Auto Zone, Kragen etc?
3. I know this part matters or else it wouldn't be there, can I just use a Toyota oem part with the same length and diameter.
Thank you in advance!

Just go to the regular parts store, and have them cut a piece of hose for you. It is a vacuum hose and will most likely produce a check engine light. make sure the ends are tight and does not leak at the connection.
