Default Black Replacement Outside Mirrors on my SFP GS [PICS]

As I didn't want to go the CF mirror cover overlay route again or have my mirrors painted, I decided to just buy some factory painted black replacement mirrors to contrast with the Starfire Pearl and my other black/CF accents. I ordered a base set with no BSM or anything (as I just needed the outer cover and base anyway) and then took them apart. Installed the outer covers so far and will do the bases when I have a chance (have to remove the door panels to do...didn't feel like it this day). Here are some pics of it so far and will update once the bases are switched out too.

After I took the replacement mirrors apart...

Smart idea and looks cleaner this way BTW, what are the specs on your Niche wheels, size/width/offset? Did you need spacers at all?

Thanks! Yeah it definitely looks cleaner as opposed to cover overlays or wrapping...plus no durability issues. My wheels are 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear with +35 offset all the way around and no spacers needed, just hub centric rings. Running 245/40/19 tires all the way around with minimal stretch in the rear (not even noticeable). I used the tires I already had on my square 19 F Sport wheels since they still had good tread. Once I need to buy new tires I'll be running 255/40/19 or something similar in the rear.

Thanks for that info: Running 8.5 width on the front and 245/255 tires, any issues with the tire rubbing in its furthest turning position being too close to the wheel well at all?

No rubbing issues for me -I am at stock height but not sure if there would be any rubbing once lowered. I've seen another CL member who had the same exact wheels and wheel/tire specs as me and is lowered...he never mentioned rubbing issues.

I agree as well but just looks a little incomplete when compared to a Crafted Line where you see the base is black too. Good thing is that it looks good already so no rush on pulling my door panels off to get to the bases if I decide to do it haha.

I have the black bases and tried to install them this weekend. Unfortunately, the bolt holes and cutout spots for the assembly bases on the mirrors I ordered didn't line up or match in some parts so it wasn't going to work. I agree so now am just going to get my current white bases wrapped black.
