What did you do to/for your sc430 today?

HI Mandyfig,
I'm in Atlanta. Today, I got my emissions inspection before work and downloaded a form to take to the DVM for my tag. I also set up an appointment for Solar Tinting to be installed on Saturday. (I had solar tinting on my 2008 that got totaled). I drove it to work and drove it home with the top down. Life is sweet!

Window Tinting yesterday.
Saturday, I got the window's tinted and buffed out a couple smudges in the paint. In GA, we don't need the front license plate. I was looking at bumperplugs.com for plugs to fill the holes. Anyone have experience with that? Next weekend, I'm installing a Pioneer CarPlay radio. After I get new plates tomorrow, I think we'll be set.

New wheel rims today
Had to replace the wheel rims on my 2004 SC as the corrosion on the rims was making it impossible to hold air pressure. Three of the rims are usable, but the front driver's side had too much corrosion. Purchased some conservative 5-spoke alloy mags. Discount tire also replaced free my front left tire that had been damaged due to low pressure. This is in sunny SoCal, so no snow driving. Think Lexus should know better than provide a rim product with this obvious flaw. Love the car otherwise and plan to keep it a while. New tire and selected rims arrive in a couple of days for installation, so hope they look good. Is there any market for old rims and inserts? The dealership said the cost of fixing each rim would be $150.

Doubtful. There are some folks that liked the look of the originals, but from what I've read in forums and from other owners, etc they are by far and away the exception. I'm not saying toss them out, but I wouldn't spend $150 fixng them in hope of a potential sale.

Listed 'em on CraigsLIst, and had multiple offers.. the final offer, the guy came to my home to pick them up, and brought cash.
This off-set my spending $400 for newer rims...
I wouldn't spend any money to repair yours, however....

Apple CarPlay Radio
I switched out the OEM Lexus radio for this Pioneer NEX 4200. I used the BeatSonic adapter, which enabled me to retain volume controls from the steering wheel. Now I can connect my iPhone and have Siri, Messages, Maps, Pandora, and more! Not to mention, I can play DVDs and there's a memory card slot waiting for my entire music library. Pretty sweet.
Blade Runner with Harrison Ford.

Hello from Germany and thanks for the add.
With my first post I'd like to share my recent mod of the gear shift panel, it was pretty scratched from the previous owner and looked quite odd. Small things like that annoy me, so I decided to remove it and add a layer of wodden decor foil and ended up being quite happy with the result...tested up to 33°C (91.4 °F) air temperature here and it stays on ( the coin box button area was fixed later).
Also changed the gear shift illumination bulb below the panel to white LED (3x 1210 SMD, T5 socket), way brighter now and gear indicators are visible if not exposed to direct sunlight.
