With all due respect this article is awful. You're apparently citing (no actual sources given) random people and the stuff they're saying makes little to no sense.
4. Lexus vs Toyota

"EZZ" shares an extremely interesting point of view, as he owned a 1988 Toyota Camry, which became his worst car. He claims it was not reliable, not to mention boring. However, his favorite car is a 2015 Lexus IS350 F-Sport, which would explain why the Camry was boring, simply because the IS350 F-Sport is too entertaining. He says the 2015 Lexus IS350 F-Sport does everything well, which couldn't be truer.
Comparing a 29 year old car to one that is almost new, not to mention cars that have completely different intentions and price points. And the cherry on top is saying a 1988 Camry is not reliable, a model and generation that is known to be one of the most reliable cars ever made. Just remove the article already.

The source for all of these is right on the last slide of the article. Perhaps your argument concerning one person's experience should be taken up with that individual and not the writer who merely presented a collective of ClubLexus forum members and their experiences with vehicles that they have owned over the years? Maybe the Camry was a lemon? Maybe it was plagued by some sort of automotive poltergeist? The point is that you and I will never know for sure.

Thanks for featuring my cars in the article but I would like to point out that I'm a woman.

So sorry, lexslexus! Our bad. We've corrected that and republished.

I didn't catch that first time around, thanks.

Then why editorialize, for example:
Based on his experience, it seems like the Lexus450h's strength couldn't compare to the Mercedes'.
He says the 2015 Lexus IS350 F-Sport does everything well, which couldn't be truer.
His worst car, however, was the Japanese 2000 Mitsubishi Galant V6. He describes the Galant as a boring vehicle. Although this car could be reliable, if it bores you, then it is not worth having.
The author is saying this, not the owner. Goes beyond, "....merely presented a collective of ClubLexus forum members and their experiences with vehicles that they have owned over the years"

I think the bottom line is CL is an active enough forum that these sorts of fluff pieces and "conversation starters" aren't necessary. All they do is start threads of people complaining about the articles...

Not only that, but we've already got another active thread in Car Chat on exactly the same topic.

Which was the inspiration for this "article".

It would be one thing if the people who wrote these articles were Lexus people and knew the brand, but they clearly don't because the articles are always filled with errors that commonly get pointed out here. There isn't somebody here who knows Lexus that can write a halfway decent article?

Here are some pics, THEY ARE NOT MINE but, I had to add to this. I would say my worst was my first car, a 1986 chevy cavalier, 4 cyl 4 speed.... Something like 84 hp total... I blew the motor 4 times (it only cost $300 to rebuild it at the time, vs $1500+ for another car). Due to only part time work and mom's rule, I got stuck with it for like 3 years. What a piece of <insert bad word here> ... Like most 80's Chevy's and Fords.

Like this one...(same color and style, just a lot better looking) My car was a very clean and nice looking car on the OUTSIDE/INSIDE

My best (so far) was my 2001 LS430. Such a dependable car in my 12 years of owning it, I was never stuck on the side of the road, looked nice (even 10 years old people asked if it was new and that was a shock to me) and drove like a dream till it got up to almost 230K when it started showing it's age.

Like this one (not mine)

My Current LS460L needs some time to be the BEST, right now it's a great car but, time will tell if it will be the BEST.

Does this fit with what your looking for here ?

That's an 04-06 LS430 not a 2001. Considerably styling difference IMHO.

This is a 2001:

Interesting to have the thread packaged like that! I love how people really hated their Jettas, yet I loved my GTI, which had it's own share of problems. It was a problem child that I loved dearly.

I had a '99 Passat that I loved, even though it was somewhat problematic. Maybe it was just the time of my life I owned it. Often we associate our cars with the places we go and memories made during the ownership period.
