Any members here with big dogs? If so, how's that working out with the dog riding in the back? any issues? My family is considering a Labradoodle, Goldendoodle, or Portuguese Water dog.

Thanks in advance for your responses.
I have a Greater Swiss and a Newfoundland. The smaller of the 2 (Swissy) is over 100 lbs. They both fit fine in the back seat together, although we don't usually take the Lexus with the dogs.
We use a hammock style seat cover for the dogs, which attaches to both the front and rear headrests. Dogs can not fall forward onto the floor with this setup.
I used to have big dogs, and I would never put them in my GS. Hair and dander gets everywhere! Maybe not as big an issue with the doodles as they typically don't shed as much as some other breeds.
I had a 140lb rottweiler and a 100lb English bulldog. The Rott never got to ride in my Lexus but I had an emergency and had to take the English bulldog to the vet. Make sure you got a nice thick cover for the seats. Nothing got scratched but man the drool and hair is unavoidable.
I've got a 10 lb yorkie and a 90 lb Golden Lab. The little yorkie sits in a "car seat" while riding in my GS and the big guy never gets to ride in the GS. Of course I would take him in the GS in an emergency, but not for trips to the park. He sheds and drools a lot.
I have a husky so this is my opinion on a shedding/long hair dog
I use a universal generic car seat cover for the back that covers the baxk seat and blo ks the front..one thing to keep an eye on is the rear doors side steps if ur dog doesnt jump in (or does it wrong ) can possibly scratch things up. The rear floor and sides carpets will collect dog hair, the roof somewhat does but easily removable..and ps dont roll down windows while driving unless u want a hair storm.
