Technically the GS does have exhaust tips. They are there, just not in the spot you are used to seeing. I'd have a problem if there were no tips at all. But the gas GS has tips, which works fine. If anything, they are too wide and overstyled for the conservative rear and side body flanks.
I love GS's polygonal exhaust tips.
It's the unstylish and cheap looking polygonal exhaust tips from the Genesis G80 that concerns me.
G80 is also dying for a chrome trim above the rear number plate...
I think the reason they did it this way is due to heat. If the exhaust was connected directly to the chrome "tips", they would get too hot. It'd also be more difficult to keep the chrome clean if all the exhaust gases flowed through it.

I have to admit, I love the exhaust set-up on the G80. The straight sides line up with the straight edge of the body while the inside angle makes for a sporty-shaped center valance. It's a different shape than most others, but it's balanced. About the only thing wrong with that area are the red reflectors just above. They extend too far in, making the tailpipes look smaller than they really are.
wow that looks amazing. I kind of want to do this now because i don't like the look of the fake exhaust. But, at least the fake exhausts don't look like two tiny straws in a capri sun pouch like a BMW 335i
Wow that looks really good. Can you post a rear shot. I want to see the fitment inside the stock rear diffuser. I've been thinking about this, but was scared to be the scapegoat lol.
Here's my rear shot. I like the rear stock diffuser but wanted Quad burnt tips. The Lexon diffuser is hard to come by and takes forever to come in from Japan. (Disregard the F badge, I had it on since 2013 when the real F wasn't even thought about, need to remove lol)

Thank You!
When replacing the tips, it will leave a huge gap around the quad tip so i decided to do a DIY and use Metal Mesh with minimal visibility through and cut and mold around the tips. I used epoxy and closed it up. This is just a temporary look until I order a Lexon diffuser.

The way I did it was I removed the fake tips and changed it to quad burnt tips. But the only issue is that the quad tips are only about half the size of the hole the fake tip leaves. So I ordered some black metal mesh and cut it and put it in the remaining hole around the quad tips. It looks really nice for now but I do prefer the Lexon Diffuser.
