You're such a showoff with your 2 posts. What were they, 1st post when you bought it, and this 2nd post of a pic of odo at 373k miles!? LOL! That's awesome though! (you should do the paperclip trick or buy a new brake wear sensor! )

There still seem to be the same number of cars with those mileages, and the prices have dropped at least $2k. So why buy something you don't need? Buy it when you need it. This is a car, not a can of soup. My wife calls it hoarding. Imagine putting that $10-$15k in an investment, and getting a car when you needed it?
Age drops prices across the board. It also drops the selection of low mileage cars. Almost 85% of the 430s for sale today have over 100K miles. Pristine examples will get rarer and will typically sell for more than 100K mile examples. There will always be cars of any mass produced model for sale in any mileage range. It's just a matter of selection and paying a premium. If you want a low mileage 430 in a specific color or package and find it today, you better buy it, because there is a good chance you will have to wait a while to find it in the future, if you can find it at all. That won't get easier.

Default 2005 LS430 Flint Mica 171,000

I have a 2005 LS430 UL Flint Mica with a paltry 171,000 miles. Arguably one of the best cars ever made. I bought it it with 71,000 miles on odometer and finally got it broken in, so I took a 2300 mile trip with the wife to the mountains of Colorado. I only got 26.7 MPG on the trip, so I'm a little jealous of your mileage!!!

I have been driving it on I35 (probably the worst road in Texas) for the last 6 years, so I had to put new KYBs all the way around and lower front control arms and ball joints before the trip. Driving it on the open road is awesome - never got it over 105 MPH (don't tell) . If I could fix the window gremlin that developed on the trip, life would be complete.

I have a 2006 LS430 Modern Luxury (Crystal White over Ivory) with 143,000 miles. It was purchased used about a month ago and is currently in service getting a fuel pressure damper replaced due to a strong fuel odor from inside the cabin and a reseal on the lower oil pan. Absolutely love the car; it is our second LS, the previous car was a 1991 LS400 which was sold a few years back with 255,000 miles, which were trouble free for the 125k+ miles that we owned it.

Now that's an accomplishment. I'm hoping to see those kind of numbers on my '01 in a few years, currently sitting at 157,200. So far this year, I've driven her 14,950 miles. The 2005 on the other hand, has traveled all of 6300 miles since we bought it in May of 2016...

I just picked up a 2004 LS430 base. 93k for $7000. The seller showed me a receipt for timing belt at 90k from a gas station mechanic.. hand written so I don't exactly believe him. Going to take it to Lexus to verify the work.

My issues:
Steering Wheel tilt does not work
brakes vibrate
tires are old
battery seems to be dying
keys are worn to hell
Smells like they smoked with windows closed and used waaay too much Smoke Eater crap... Getting a full detail tomorrow.
center console locking clip broken

Issues I fixed already (with the help from you guys!):
New Polk 8in woofer (not too hard)
loose center console (3 out of 4 bolts dropped out)
change both cabin and engine filter - both looked like had rat nests or something.

That is it for now...hopefully no surprises from Lexus dealership.
