Heading to take in the GX for replacement of BOTH exhaust manifolds and full timing belt/water pump replacement with all associated parts. At the tune of $2,700... just hit 90k.
They crack and cause exhaust leaks, audible "ticking" sound is the main symptom.
mine was well beyond a tick and it was time to replace them. Unfortunately they were about $700 per manifold and both were bad. Didn't need to be up close and personal to them to see the holes at the flange weld.
My GX used to sounds like a 1988 Oldsmobile with a crappy 305 and holes drilled into the air resonator. Now all is good.
Mine does, call your local Wal-Mart and find out.
They said Shenique does and awesome job and she did on mine. Ask for an experienced technician on headlights to get the best result.
We offer a Permanent Restoration service. Be very careful using those headlight restoration kits, as inexperienced detailers can cause further permanent damage to the lenses. We offer a lot of other services too, more info and pricing available on our website, you can email us there for our services. https://www.organizedgaragestatus.co...nt-restoration
Just picked up my 2008 GX this week. 118k on the clock, surprisingly clean body and detailed dealer service logs from 0-98k. I plan on detailing the interior tomorrow, and checking fluid conditions. i would submit a pic but photobucket said no.
**I can't believe i joined in 2010 but this is my first post! I've had a couple other Lexus vehicles (06 LX, 12RX) but i guess i never felt compelled to post. Lurker status: elite.

I'm looking to sell mine clean Carfax with around 100k miles and was thinking how much Would be a reasonable price to ask. Any ideas.
details? Looks good BTW! If I keep mine I'm thinking about lifting and love the stance on yours.
Thanks! Ironman Foam Cell Pro shocks/coilovers with B springs, SPC/Light Racing upper control arms, MetalTech4x4 rear coil conversion, Engo 9000S winch. The winch was not remotely bolt-on and we went through several revisions before we had a winch mount strong enough to be considered acceptable (constructed out of a Harbor Freight winch plate and assorted 3/16ths steel plate and a welder). Our final test was hard enough to conform the metal loop in the end of the winch line around the shackle that was through it, heh.
Wheels/tires are FN F(x) Pro 17x8 ET 0mm with 255/75R17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.
