Luxury has everything that premium has (or better) plus the following:
-Darker wheels - same size and shape but dark silver finish
-Rear Air Suspension vs. Coil (good and bad)
-Better, softer leather
-Suspension modes - the extra switch you see at the shifter
-Hill start - craw control? - the extra switch you see at the shifter
-ML stereo - I think you NEED the Lux package in order to get the optional ML stereo

Actually Hill Start & Crawl Control are part of the special order $4,340 Driver Support Package on a Luxury.

EDIT: Still trying to figure out if I can add crawl control on my '12 with just some module replacements and center console cover with proper switch or if I would need to replace the entire master cylinder assembly. This is being done on FJ and 4Runner forums.

I have a 2014 Luxury and there is no crawl control. Still trying to see if the DAC actually does anything

It does... it's more of a fixed downhill crawl control. You will know it is on because ABS actuator will sound like a machine gun at times as it is doing it's work. IIRC it only works in 4-Low as well. Crawl control is 1-5MPH. Not sure what DAC is set at speed-wise. It felt like it was near the 1MPH range. I've only used a couple times just to make sure it worked.

Does DAC work in 4-lo with differential locked or just 4-lo? I haven't had a chance to use it (need to find a steep hill LOL).

I am almost 100% positive both.... I think last time I tested center diff lock was off and first time I had diff lock turned on. I did think it might be a gimmick when I first got rig but it did make for a more relaxing creep down a steep hill in my testing. Side-note on On ATRAC... from what I gather with online info and experience it works best if you keep the RPM below 2500.

Same here. However I can definitely tell you DAC does something. I tried it a couple of weeks ago. Man it made a lot of noise (ABS), but foot off of the gas and off of the brake and slowly down the dirt/gravel hill we went. Pretty damn cool.

Is it possible to (custom?) order one with AVS but without air suspension? I think Premium has neither while Luxury has both.

I am pretty certain that is not the case. Do you have an exact link to where you read this?

Only 4L requirement in owners manual. I like being able to use 4L without diff lock. I've never had a 4WD vehicle before that I could do this. I guess the advantage of the lockable Torsen diff.

No. You would have to gut the bags & replace with coils, pull the fuse for compressor and then likely pull some bulb in the dash indicating an error condition.

+1 you do not have to have the diff locked to get DAC to work.
