This morning I started my '11 ISF and was greeted with a host of warning icons and a message that stated "High Transmission Fluid Temp." The message stayed on for about 1 minute and then went off. However, the 'CEL' and skid control icons stayed illuminated for my entire 10 minute drive. I keep the car in D and drive cautiously to my destination. I shut the car off and waited 20sec and started it again and the warring icons didn't go away. Ideas????
not sure if this is related, but the night before I took off the plastic covers and intake tube to check the air filter. The filter looked fine so I just put everything back. I also installed a new Bayson R lip that night too. I carefully put the screws in the bumper as to not break into the washer hoses that run along the bumper base. Again, not sure if this is coincidence or related...
I removed all the plastic covers in the engine bay and looked for any wires or switches that might be loose. Nothing appeared out of place. With all the covers off, I started the car. The car started fine this weekend and shifted normal. The warning icons were still present, but the original High Transmission Fluid Temp message didn't reappear. I went to Advanced Auto and they pulled the codes from the ODB2 port. The following were present:
c1201
c1241
u0100
u0101
After the codes were cleared, i restarted the car and drove for about 30 minutes. The error messages and lights didn't re-appear. The car performed and operated fine. When the problem first appeared, the transmission shifted very rough when going from P > R and R > D. Also, the car would start in 2nd gear, not first when accelerating from a stop. Both of these issues don't seem present now.
Could this be a weak battery causing the problem? I'll check with a Fluke meter later today and report those results.

Sounds like it to me. A weak battery in these cars makes it go absolutely crazy.
I took the car to Advance Auto Parts today and asked for a battery check. They connected their equipment to my battery (with the car off) and told me within 1-2 minutes that the battery is fine. I asked them if they could check the alternator too and they did. I started the car, turned on my high beams and A/C to full, and waited about 30 seconds. He said he was done and then we shut off the car and reviewed the results. The results showed the alternator is fine.
At this point, I don't know what to think. I drove the car for about 1 hour today and didn't have any issues. I'm taking a 200 mile trip tomorrow and will report back if I run into any issues.
Thank for following me and let me know if you have any ideas why the error message appeared in the first place. Odd...
