I checked with Lexus.com a day or two after I bought my GX to see if any recalls were in effect.
It said there are no outstanding recalls in effect.
I contacted my local Lexus Dealer to get service records... the twit responded "We have no record of any service provided to this vehicle at Lexus of Birmingham."
Duh, even Carfax knows it was first "retailed" in the Northeast as a corporate lease then owned in Maryland.
I'm trying to ascertain if it was already fixed. I replied in email, "Lexus National Database? (then added the bit about Carfax.)"
I'm awaiting their response.
And yes Acrad, last I heard, there ARE NO replacement parts.
I did find it interesting to learn that they are using AmoniumNitrate (which my company uses in blasting operations) to initiate these air bags! BOOM! You're safe. LOL
I just had a call with the local Lexus. The parts are in but some VINs are back order so he put in an order for my truck. Hopefully it will arrive soon, he mentioned something around/after July 18th.

My appointment is on 8/14. The parts (special order???) already arrived but they don't have an opening until that day. They said it's about 5 hrs of work so I'll get a loaner. I may also look into having them update the GPS too.
I received my remedy letter for my 2010 GX 2 weeks ago. Called several dealerships in the Atlanta area only to be told they don't have the parts yet. Only Hennesy Lexus had the parts so I scheduled the repair. Also had them repair a rear wheel bearing that had gone bad.
