As part of the Lexus community, we all tip our hats to Club Lexus' forum member Raidin for racking up 300,000 miles on his Courier CT in just three years.
Thanks everyone. The car is about to turn 325,000 miles. Just like corradoMR2 said, the powertrain is proven as many Prius taxis go several hundred thousand miles (one of the reasons why I bought this car to run it this far).
FYI: I drive 60 MPH using the optional adaptive cruise control on the highway (80% of my driving, if not more), and I get between 50 and 53 MPG per day. Averaged with all of my previous driving at higher speeds (like 65 MPH and 70 MPH), I am averaging about 47 / 48 MPG on Fuelly for lifetime average fuel economy for my CT.
Stay tuned to the CT forums as I update how the car is running and new mileage records.
I'm a courier by trade. I drive about 360 miles a weekday, and about half of that on Saturdays. I actually bought this CT to replace a Prius C that was very annoying to drive on the highway all the time. The CT was chosen for reliability, ease of driving, features, and comfort. The idea was to pay more for a nicer car, but keep it running as long as possible, instead of replacing it once it hit some large arbitrary number of miles.
