Almost twice as many '14+ on the road as '10-13' models . (51,234 versus 93,388)
Does that mean my 2011 will be a future rare collectors item worth lots of .....Yeah, probably not :-)
Many complain about the Lexus Spindle grille but the numbers here tell the truth.
Any other thoughts for this drastic number change? I think I mentioned on a similar thread here that the informant system upgrade would not be the reason for the rise in sales. Also the rear reflectors are too big on the 10-13.

Ahh, yes the reduced cost would be a factor along with the updated look. Didn't the GX lag behind with the refresh compared to other Lexus models. I was thinking it was a year or two behind?
My non-car people friends and family all like the spindle grille, unlike my car friends who all hate it. My non-car people friends and family buy new cars while my car friends all buy used cars.

Remember too, the 2010 when it first came out had the dreadful 60 minutes story from Consumer Reports on traction control and rollovers. Caused the whole model year to have a reprogram campaign. That takes a hit on sales when parents and their children are the riders involved in a car buying decision.
For me, I waited for the 14' to be released and see in person before I ordered the one we have. I like the looks of the '14 over the previous models, plus the few changes inside made a difference for me to get the '14 over a '13.
I don't have a problem with spindle grille myself although it doesn't help the off-road approach angle... not that '10-'13 has an incredible angle as well but it is more forgiving in stock form for that application.
I saw quite a few new, dealer plate GX around my neighborhood lately, probably due to all the year-end discounts/rebates. It's interesting to see that the most sold months are summer and year end.
