Hey all, quick question that I hope you can help with. I drive a good bit (40k/year) and debris is bound to happen. My right turn signal housing got cracked, and a rain storm I drove through forced some water in there which turned brown, not the best sight. The turn signal lamp still works fine. I want to replace the lens cover, and I bought the part for about 65 bucks. The dealer tells me they have to take apart the whole bumper assembly so replacing this will be over 300 bucks. I tend to call BS. Can anyone tell me if this is an easy enough DIY or do I need to let the dealer rake me over the coals for a lens cover?
My experience with removing the turn signal housings for sound dampening is you can bend the 3 longer tabs all you want but the light won't come out... those are there to help locate the shorter pieces which need pushed with a small screwdriver to release the light housing with some jiggling....discussed in the below thread... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...ssistance.html
