i didn't even know there were F-Sport shocks available for the 3IS
That's what I figured. The description just says rear shocks, and the picture shows TWO. But, the QTY is ONE.
I emailed their customer service to double check. Total comes out to be $900 for this fsport lowering kit (when you add 1 more rear shock). I mean you COULD run the fsport springs with the stock shocks, but it may wear them down prematurely.
Then again, I can't really justify paying $900 for springs lol... might as well get coils.
Very true, for the amount you're dumping in... just go full coilovers.. you can adjust damping and fine tune the height to your liking.
Yup, just testing the water with this setup. I'm gonna try to ask my buddy at Lexus to see if he could get it cheaper tho.
I'ma throw on a set of 19s first, cause I'ma need new tires soon (might as well get wheels while I'm at it). This time going square, so I can rotate tires and save money lol
coilovers just give a rough ride which is why i would stick with springs
I had the same impression from my previous cars with coil overs, but to my surprise, the RSR coils I'm using now was able to maintain most of the ride comfort, even with 19s and lower profile tires. They feel almost the same as stock but just a tad bit stiffer (even my senior parents didn't really notice the difference) but they do make a big difference at highway speeds and merging into freeways. The car feels much more confidence, where the stock setup I felt the car was very unstable.
were the rear F-Sport shocks always available for the 3IS? Is there somewhere i can see the comprehensive list F-Sport accessories available for the 3IS? you sure cant on the Lexus website lol

i'm having the same rsr coilovers installed friday -- is it difficult to adjust the rear? i've heard that you have to take apart a lot of stuff to get to the coilovers back there and so it's super frustrating.

it's true... i took my rears apart 7 times to get the height I wanted... but after the 2 time around, i was able to do both rears in 45min from jacking the car up to putting it back down.. had all the torque specs memorized too haha
